Position: Aquatics Volunteer
Location: Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex or Moses Springer (Summer only)

Description: Get in the swim of things as a City of Waterloo Aquatics volunteer! Assist aquatics staff with instructing a swim class. Help with group lessons, or volunteer one-on-one with adapted aquatics participants. Aquatics volunteers MUST hold a current Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross/Emergency First Aid certification or higher. This is a great way to contribute to the community and to complete any required hours for lifeguard certification or for high school credit. Join us, in the swim!
Requirements: English Proficiency, Physical Demand
Training Details: Orientation and full supervision is provided by City of Waterloo Aquatics Staff.
Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail: Volunteers during late afternoons, evenings, or weekends, for 1.5 or more hours per week for a full session (Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer.) Session start and end dates will vary. Early application is advised for volunteering during the next aquatics session.
