Position: Day Surgery Unit Volunteer
Location: 911 Queens Boulevard, Kitchener
Description: Volunteers in the Day Surgery unit assist staff with providing excellent patient care. Duties include providing instructions to patients prior to their surgery that assist with preparation for their surgery, as well as communicating updates prior to and after a patients procedure to their loved ones. Individuals who have excellent communication skills, are able to work with minimal supervision and are dedicated to the volunteer shift are welcome to apply.
Requirements: English Proficiency, Confidentiality, Physical Demand, Specialized Training, Work Without Supervision
Training Details: Once selected, volunteers will be required to attend a general orientation and training with a experienced volunteer in the unit.
Duration: 7 - 12 months
Timing: Anytime
Time Detail: We are currently looking for a volunteer with availability on from either 8:00 am to 11:30 am or 11:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Age: 16+
