| Impact Statement: | Volunteer drivers help transport seniors and adults with disabilities who have no other way to get to medical and health related appointments. Volunteers make an incredible difference by enabling people to live at home with independence and dignity. |
| Description: |
Using their own vehicles, volunteers pick up clients at their home and transport them to their medical appointment. Depending on the individual needs, the volunteer would then wait until appointment is done or come back at a designated pick-up time, and then drive the individual home, ensuring that they get safely inside. Flexible time commitment. You let us know when you're available, and we'll schedule your rides only during those times. Mileage reimbursement provided. Volunteer screening process: - Complete Online application - Vulnerable police check - Two references check - Three year driver record - Minimum $1 million car insurance - G license and access to a reliable car |

| Training Details: |
Scheduling coordinator and volunteer coordinators are always available to discuss concerns and to provide ongoing support, as needed. CSC offers regular volunteer educational workshops on various topics. All volunteers are notified of upcoming sessions. |
