| Description: |
Hospice is seeking Client Support Volunteers to provide support to individuals living with life-threatening illness, in the Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo communities, with our biggest need in Cambridge. We find many of our male clients would prefer the company of another male, but we do not have enough male volunteers to meet this need. We also require volunteers who speak languages in addition to English. |
| Requirements: | English Proficiency, Confidentiality, Specialized Training, Work Without Supervision |
| Training Details: | 33 hour course required; the next course will take place in Spring 2018. Applications for this training are being accepted now. |
| Working Conditions: | Volunteers may work in the home, hospice, hospital or office setting. |
| Duration: | More than 1 year |
| Timing: | Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening |
| Time Detail: | Volunteers must be available 2-4 hours each week. Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge. Day time availability is preferred. |
