This role is well suited to a current university student interested in building their portfolio, gaining tangible resume experience and growing their network or a career professional looking to gain more experience in web writing or to be introduced to the world of public and community relations.
Description: The Community Relations Coordinator supports the platforms through which Sustainable Waterloo Region builds and interfaces with the community; specifically providing content for the Sustainable Waterloo Region team blog, creating a blog content calendar, and owning the speaking engagements and community events processes.
Training Details: Volunteer will receive a general SWR orientation and ongoing support from SWR's PR Manager.
Duration: 7 - 12 months
Timing: Anytime
Time Detail: Approximately 5 hours per week (this may vary with partner organization meetings or events).
Age: 19+
