Position: Marketing Coordinator - Royal Medieval Faire

Impact Statement: Now in its 20th season, the Royal Medieval Faire is a magical day where the medieval period comes alive in the 21st century. The day is full of games, medieval vendors and performers, including dramatic productions, musicians and swordplay. Every year, the Faire relies on dedicated volunteers to bring the festival alive and attract thousands of patrons for the annual event.

We currently have a volunteer opportunity to join the Faire team as an Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator will support the Board of Directors with the development and execution of marketing and promotional efforts for the Royal Medieval Faire (RMF). This includes coordinating advertising, maintaining promotional materials, and managing social media.

Description: Responsibilities
Work with the Board of Directors regarding the creation/execution of marketing/ promotional plans and budget
Follow the marketing and promotional plan timelines
Provide progress updates at Board meetings
Create and maintain content for social media accounts
Coordinate with the graphic designer to create promotional material
Monitor promotional material inventory
Coordinate marketing efforts in a variety of mediums
Provide performance analysis reports post Faire
Research, evaluate and recommend promotional opportunities

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Outstanding organizational skills
Creative thinker capable of developing compelling promotions and marketing content
Knowledge and experience in social media marketing and content creation
Education and/or experience in advertising, or event planning and promotion

Suitability of this placement is subject to review by the Board, any time within the first year
Working Conditions: Time, Place and Commitment
Hours will vary throughout the year. The time commitment is roughly 1 5 hours per week. Hours will increase as the day of the Faire approaches. Post Faire (October March) will have minimal hours.
Incumbent is able to work during hours that best suit their schedule.
Attend monthly board meetings as required.
One-year commitment: option to renew with Royal Medieval Faire Board approval
