Position: Vendor Coordinator Assistant - Royal Medieval Faire
Location: Waterloo Park, 50 Young Street West, Waterloo, ON, Canada
Impact Statement: Now in its 20th season, the Royal Medieval Faire is a magical day where the medieval period comes alive in the 21st century. The day is full of games, medieval vendors and performers, including dramatic productions, musicians and swordplay. Every year, the Faire relies on dedicated volunteers to bring the festival alive and attract thousands of patrons for the annual event.

We currently have a volunteer opportunity to join the Faire team as a Vendor Coordinator Assistant. The Vendor Coordinator Assistant will support the Vendor Coordinator’s efforts to organize and assist the vendors of the Royal Medieval Faire (RMF).

Description: Responsibilities
• Follows the Faire’s policies and procedures
• Greet and guide vendors to assigned locations
• Support vendors throughout the day
• Assist volunteers with any vendor related questions
• Additional tasks as assigned by the Vendor Coordinator

Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and independently
• Outstanding organizational skills with superior attention to detail
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities with limited supervision

Working Conditions: Time, Place and Commitment
• The time commitment is roughly 1 – 5 hours prior to the Faire (primarily for orientation and training)
• Day of the Faire, Saturday, September 16th will be 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Duration: 3 months or less
