Position: Community Events Team Lead and Team - Friends of Waterloo Park
Location: 100 Regina Street South, Waterloo, ON, Canada
Impact Statement: The Friends of Waterloo Park is a volunteer group that works in cooperation with the Waterloo Park Advisory Committee and the City of Waterloo to fulfill the goals of the Waterloo Park Master Plan. The Friends of Waterloo Park promotes events, provides volunteer support and fundraises to maintain, supplement and accelerate improvements to Waterloo Park.
Description: Program, plan and coordinate community engagement and events for the Friends of Waterloo park.

Must have experience with event planning, community engagement, coordinating program participants, logistics and public speaking.

Training Details: Orientation and training coordinated by City staff.
Working Conditions: Meetings indoors. Event days outdoors in various weather conditions.
Duration: More than 1 year
Timing: Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening
Time Detail: Year round position with attendance at meetings and present for event days. Schedule to be determined.
Age: 18+
