Position: Warehouse Assistant

Impact Statement: Join a team of volunteers supporting the mission to ensure that each child attends school well-nourished to enhance their ability to learn.
Description: We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the distribution of food to student nutrition programs throughout Waterloo Region. The warehouse assistant would track inventory, organize and package food onto skids for delivery to programs throughout the Region.
Requirements: Confidentiality, Physical Demand, Work Without Supervision
Training Details: Training will be provided by Nutrition for Learning staff.
Working Conditions: Warehouse. You will be required to do some lifting and bending so you should be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Duration: 7 - 12 months
Timing: Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail: Tuesday and Friday mornings approximately 9:30am to 11:30am
Your services would be required one day a week for approximately 2 hours, but this may vary depending on the volume of food orders to be delivered.
