Position: General Help - Bring on the Sunshine African Festival

Impact Statement: Bring on The Sunshine was launched 7 years ago with a goal of fostering “Ubuntu” – togetherness among Africans in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. The Bring on The Sunshine African Festival is an annual Family Day festival that attracts an audience of approximately a thousand people each year and is continually growing. The festival includes music, dance and poetry performances, fashion show, drum and dance workshops, as well as a lively market place.

The festival is on February 19 2018 and we are looking for individuals who are ready to take-on important roles in making the festival a success. If you take this on - you will be in charge of a specific role to ensure the smooth-running of a certain aspect of the day, you will gain valuable mentoring within a dynamic team, valuable festival experience and networking connections for your future!
Description: Set-up and take-down, greeters, people to run and manage booths at different sections of the event, decorating volunteers, door guards, donation and testimonial collectors and much more.
Training Details: All volunteers must also be available for Sunday, Feb 18th from 12:30 for an orientation of the event a walk through of the festival grounds.
Working Conditions: Walking around and lifting mildly-heavy objects.
