Position: Cultural Cooking planning group - Culture Kitchen
Location: 44 Francis Street South, Kitchener, ON, Canada
Impact Statement: Encourages cultural diversity by providing an opportunity to learn about a new culture and work side by side with group participants from many different countries, and then enjoy a lunch and learn together.
Description: Plan a monthly cooking program featuring a different country/culture each month. Meeting and greeting participants, and assisting in the kitchen with food preparation, presenting information on that month's featured culture, as well as program set up and clean up.
Requirements: Confidentiality, Physical Demand, Work Without Supervision
Training Details: Orientation to the program and the role will be provided along with general orientation to KDCHC.
Working Conditions: Good cooking, hospitality and organizational skills are required.
Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail: The program is run the fourth Friday of every month from 10 am - 1 pm. We ask for a commitment of approximately 6-8 hours per month.
