Position: Occasional Meals on Wheels Driver
Location: 61 Woolwich Street North, Breslau (office)
Impact Statement: Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver meals to individuals, who for various reasons are unable prepare their own meals. Clients have the choice of hot meals, frozen meals or a combination that can be chosen for a wide variety of specialized or therapeutic diets.

By giving 60 - 90 minutes of your time, you will ensure that seniors and adults with disabilities have access to daily essential nutrition needs. You will also help to feel more secure in their homes, due to a friendly volunteer checking in on them.
Description: Meals are delivered Monday – Friday, over the lunch hour (between 11:00 am - 1 pm). Each route takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes to complete and delivers to 7 - 12 homes. Flexible Time commitment. We are looking for volunteers to fill in on occasional basis and when we have last minute cancellations. Mileage reimbursement provided.

Volunteer screening process:
- Complete Online application
- Vulnerable police check
- Two references check
- Minimum $1 million car insurance
- G license and access to a reliable car
- Completion of training
Training Details: Scheduling team and volunteer coordinators are always available to discuss concerns and to provide ongoing support, as needed.

CSC offers regular volunteer educational workshops on various topics. All volunteers are notified of upcoming sessions.
Working Conditions: Meals are picked up from four sites: Breslau MOW office (61 Woolwich Street North); The Family Centre (65 Hansen Avenue, Kitchener), Hazelglen Alliance Church (45 Hazelglen Dr., Kitchener) and YMCA Immigration Services (258 Hespeler Rd. Cambridge).
