Position: Handyman - Temporary Housing

Impact Statement: These programs and services are aimed at assisting refugees in settlement/integration so that they may lead healthy and productive lives in their new community.
Description: Help to maintain the temporary housing site for newly arrived Government Assisted Refugees. Assist with: Minor drywall repairs, paint touch-ups, minor plumbing, replace cartridges in taps, putting together furniture, replacing light bulbs, repairing screens, other minor repairs as needed, help with inventory and organizing storage areas, and upkeep of outside gardens.
Training Details: 2-hour Orientation to Reception House and onsite training.
Working Conditions: Residential Home. Refugees and staff will be present on-site.
Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Anytime
Time Detail: On-call. Flexible scheduling.
Age: 22+
